Workshops

Explore mark making, mixing colours and working in a loose style in acrylic paint, suitable for everyone. My approach is to help you find your style of painting and have fun doing it !

A typical day will be :

  • Arrive around 9:30 for a 10am start

  • Introductions and warm up exercise

  • Work on first small painting until lunch (around 12). Typically I will provide and image and parameters for this – e.g. limited pallete, big brush!

  • Discussion and feedback session

  • Lunch

  • Choose your own image and work on a second larger painting

  • Discussion and feedback session

  • Finish 3/3:30pm

All materials are provided (paints, brushes, canvasses & paper etc).

Tea, coffee and snacks are provided. The studio has a fridge, microwave and toaster.

Please bring lunch and apron or clothes you are happy to get paint on (acrylic paint will not come out of clothes!). The studio is rarely warm so bring an extra layer.

All workshops are maximum 6 students. All materials provided, just bring lunch.
